I loved this movie. The Favourite was the film I was rooting for to win Best Picture at the Oscars last year.
For starters, we have got to talk about the amazing cast. Coleman, Stone, and Weisz were all three nominated for an Oscar for a reason. Their performances were so believable and I could rave about them for years.
On another note, the cinematography done by Robbie Ryan was so interesting. A fisheye lens was brought out and I jumped in my seat I barely ever see the fisheye lens used and I loved the use of it. And, the use of different tilts and angles captured the twisted-ness of the film.
The set design and costumes... do I need to explain?
The ending of this film confused me at first but when I read articles online explaining it I was beyond astonished. I don't want to spoil it of course but, all I have to say is... wow.
Still, to this day, I am in awe and I praise this film and the filmmakers behind this film.
